Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
